On June 8, Consul General Li Xuhang attended the on-line graduation ceremony of the 6th Dubai Business Associates Program. The program is run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This year, 20 outstanding interns from China, the US, Japan, Kazakhstan, and other countries participated in the program. Ji Yongjun, Deputy Director General of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries attended the ceremony as the representative of the Chinese partner of the program.
In his speech, Li Xuhang offered congratulations on the success of the 6th Dubai Business Associates Program. He expressed thanks to the program for providing the 13 outstanding college graduates from China with valuable opportunities to study and excellent environment to apply their knowledge. It has become an important platform for discovering and nurturing elite talents for friendly cooperation between China and the UAE. Li Xuhang pointed out that the pandemic of COVID-19 has made a major impact on the world's economy, politics, social models, and people's lifestyles. This impact is not anti-globalization but the beginning of the era of Globalization 2.0. In the era of new globalization, China, as a leader in 5G communication technology, will be a large market full of vitality and business opportunities. The Consulate General is willing to work with the UAE to vigorously promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields between China and the UAE and support Dubai to seize the opportunities in China. It is hoped that in this changing environment, young talents like the interns of this program, as the pioneers in the new era of globalization, will exploit the new currents and take the new opportunities to meet challenges that have not been seen before.
