On February 23, Consul General Li Xuhang met with Ahmad Julfar, Director General of the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA). Vice Consul General Sun Xudong and Tan Li, and Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, CEO of the Licensing and Monitoring Sector at CDA attended the meeting.
Li Xuhang appreciated Dr. Julfar for attaching great importance to the development of China-UAE relations, positively evaluated Dubai’s community development and fruitful achievements in various fields of bilateral cooperation, thanked Dr. Julfar for his concern and support in the preparation of Dubai Chinese International School. Li Xuhang also expressed that in recent years, with continuous deepening of the China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership, the high-level exchange visits between the two countries have yielded fruitful results, and the prospects for cooperation in social development, culture and education are broad. He said that the Consulate General in Dubai is willing to work together with the CDA to continue to promote cooperation in various fields and strengthen people-to-people ties and traditional friendship between people in China and the UAE.
Julfar spoke highly of the fruitful results of China-UAE cooperation in economy and trade, science and technology, culture, education and other fields in recent years, fully affirmed China's achievements in fighting against the new coronavirus epidemic, and expressed deep sympathy to the Chinese people affected by the epidemic. The CDA is willing to provide support and convenience in policy consultation and formalities handling, and work with China to strive for the opening of the Dubai Chinese International School as soon as possible.
