On April 8, Consul General Ou Boqian met with Mr.Amit Kaushal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding. Deputy Consul General Xian Yi and Mr. Malek, CEO of Dubai Holding Asset Management, were also present.

Consul General Ou noted that Dubai Holding has maintained long-standing friendly cooperation with China, and, as the operator of Dragon Mart, has made significant contributions to promoting people-to-people economic and trade exchanges between China and Arab countries. She added that the regional situation remains complex and challenging, and some merchants in Dragon Mart are facing increased operational pressures. She expressed the hope that Dubai Holding would strengthen communication and coordination with Chinese merchants, fully take into account their concerns, assist in addressing their difficulties, and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests. She reaffirmed China’s strong confidence in the UAE, particularly Dubai, and expressed the expectation that both sides will further consolidate the foundation of cooperation, support each other, and work together to overcome current challenges.

Mr. Amit appreciated the Consulate-General’s continued support for China–UAE economic and trade cooperation. He stated that Dubai Holding will enhance communication and cooperation with Chinese enterprises, especially merchants in Dragon Mart, properly address their concerns, and contribute to strengthening Dubai’s economic resilience and market confidence.
