The“Sharing the Future Summit: New Opportunities for China-Arab Economic Development”, hosted by the Peking University Guanghua School of Management and the American University of Sharjah, was successfully held in Sharjah on October 22. More than 300 representatives from Chinese and Arab political, business, and academic circles attended the event, including H.E. Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai; Ms. Reem Bagggash, Deputy Managing Director of Wolrd Governments Summit Organization at UAE Prime Minister's Office; Dr. Tod Laursen, Chancellor of the American University of Sharjah; and Dr. Liu Qiao, Dean of the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University.

H.E. Ou Boqian noted that China has long remained the largest trading partner for Arab countries, with bilateral trade reaching $400 billion in 2024, a more than tenfold increase over the past two decades. Cooperation between China and Arab countries has expanded from traditional trade to emerging areas such as smart manufacturing and digital finance, with two-way investment gaining momentum. In the face of the global technological revolution and industrial transformation, the two sides should strengthen cooperation in fields such as clean energy and advanced manufacturing.

The summit featured in-depth discussions on topics such as China's economic growth and opportunities for China-Arab cooperation, with extensive exchanges on specific pathways for collaboration in technological innovation and talent cultivation.
