On September 30, Consul General H.E. Ou Boqian was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 27th Middle East Energy, Environmental Protection & Water Treatment Expo (WETEX), held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The ceremony was attended and toured by members of the Dubai royal family, dignitaries, and business leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

Consul General H.E. Ou Boqian engaged in a warm conversation with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed, discussing prospects for China-UAE cooperation in the field of sustainable development. While touring the exhibition booths of Chinese companies, she encouraged the enterprises to seize market opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa region and actively pursue technological innovation in the energy and environmental sectors.

Organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, WETEX is the largest and most renowned water, energy, and environmental protection exhibition in the Middle East. This year's edition attracted 3,100 companies from 68 countries, with an exhibition area of 95,000 square meters featuring 18 international pavilions. The China Pavilion, with nearly 3,000 square meters of exhibition space, hosted over 200 Chinese companies.
