On April 30, Chinese School Dubai held a virtual admission information session for the 2021-2022 academic year. Consul General Li Xuhang, Vice Consul-General Sun Xudong, Principal Yin Liping, and Vice Principals Zheng Jianhua and Zhao Baidong of Chinese School Dubai attended the virtual session. Nearly 300 other people including representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese associations, students and parents and Chinese media also participated in the session online.
Principal Yin Liping briefed the audience on the operation of the Chinese School Dubai since its establishment and introduced the future plan for the school. Vice Principal Zheng Jianhua gave a detailed interpretation of the enrollment policy. The representatives of parents of the students made highly positive remarks on the school based on their children's progress in the school. The two principals also answered questions on the curriculum, teachers, continuity of schooling, logistics and other issues that parents were concerned about.
In his concluding remark, Consul General Li Xuhang expressed warm congratulations on the successful operation of the school since its establishment, praised the hard work of the school staff led by Principal Yin Liping, and extended his heartfelt thanks to Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese for their strong support. He said that the school had been run in the correct direction with all aspects of work being advanced significantly. It was set as a role model in Covid-19 prevention and control by the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority. The confidence of China can be seen from the spirit of the students. The school have not only received positive remarks from the parents, but also attracted attention from the UAE Ministry of Education. The Chinese School Dubai, with its successful practice that has received broad recognition, provides a role model for other schools adopting Chinese academic system to be established overseas.
Consul General Li Xuhang enthusiastically encouraged parents to enroll their children at the Chinese School Dubai. He emphasized that as China approaches the center stage of the world, learning Chinese culture has become a trend of the times. Choosing a school of Chinese academic system leads to the right future for the children. In order to implement President Xi Jinping's important speech on accelerating the establishment of overseas Chinese international schools, with the strong support of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhejiang Province, and other departments, the Hangzhou Municipal Education Bureau commissioned the Hangzhou No.2 High School to establish the first overseas Chinese school adopting Chinese academic system in Dubai. The teachers at this school have gone through many rounds of selection with high standards. Against the pandemic, these teachers "countermarched" from China to Dubai, providing strong support to the school. China-UAE relations are in the golden age of fulfilling the long-term plan so that the establishment of Chinese School Dubai has received strong support from Dubai.
