On April 20, 2022, Consul General Li Xuhang visited Section C of Phase II of the UAE Federal Railway project by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), a major project of economic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative in the consular district. During his visit, Li Xuhang met with Mr. Chen Sichang, General Manager of CCECC and inspected the site for safety production, security and pandemic prevention and control. After listening to a report on the project, Li Xuhang had a discussion with the project team. Other officials including Counselor Wu Yi also joined the visit.

Chen Sichang welcomed Li Xuhang and his staff to the site, and introduced the construction of Section C. He said that CCECC will do its best to ensure the orderly progress of the project, fulfill its corporate social responsibility, and strive to deliver a high-quality project.

Li Xuhang said that the UAE is an incubator for Chinese enterprises to go global and achieve high-quality development. It provides a good platform for Chinese enterprises to strengthen their teams and enhance their capabilities. He hoped that CCECC can take the opportunity to make the project an exemplar of major projects of economic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. In the meantime, the Chinese Consulate General in Dubai will continue to support the project.
